Today the weather has perked up a bit after yesterday's downpour, so I felt like wearing a cheerful copycat of this recent outfit. I swapped out the flame-colored tiered striped dress for the eggplant version, and paired it with matching patent pumps with a gold buckle that were my staple interview shoes this past summer. I kept the chunky, colorful beaded necklace but used my bronze handbag instead. I can feel myself edging towards fall colors even when the weather stays mild like today.
Obligatory critter shots included. Blinkin felt like hanging out in the sleeve of my bathrobe this morning while I was getting ready for the day - until she decided that she was done, and slid down the robe to the ground and made a beeline for the cage.
(Edited to add: now that I have a half mile walk through the city from the bus stop to the office, some days it hits home that you have to be brave to wear a body-con dress when you are a red headed plus sized apple/hourglass. I get a lot of remarks about my curves when I wear this dress from passers by, and so far none have been insulting, but I have to be comfortable being noticed when wearing this dress.)
