I started a different thread on possible birthday items for me, but I wanted to examine this one in-depth, because it is not only the most expensive but also the most unique and clever design. At Sylvie's suggestion, I am thinking of calling Nordies to see if they will price match the manufacturer's website. All three pics are the same jacket, with the collar worn differently. My burning questions are:

1 - Can you see this as an indoor jacket at all? I want to keep to a one in, at least one out policy. If I could wear this indoors, it could be an upgrade from my threadbare black tweed blazer and possibly another indoor jacket.

2 - Could this be a reasonable upgrade for the polyester utility jacket I wanted to replace anyway? I think wool has natural water-repelling qualities, right? I wouldn't use it as a trench of course, but maybe for that will-it-won't-it time of year, especially when walking and riding the bus?

Or... is it silly to even consider this in my climate, when I already have a long wool coat?
