Denise, I am the same way, so that is a great point. I actually remember I used to have (and wear, yes) two wool coats, but I purged this one at the end of last season because it was a cheapie one from a junior's store.

Echo, that is very true. I definitely don't have a pea coat type garment right now, and that is pretty much what this is. I guess I can always purge something unrelated so that I still create the physical space for it.

I agree about purging something unrelated if needed. I think one in one out is all about keeping a balance in your wardrobe and you shouldn't feel like you need to purge a thing you love to buy a new thing you love just as much. I think it's the principle that counts.

Just want you to know I love that coat, and hubby said you will look like something out of "Demolition Man". Yeah! Now for a nonviolent society and cars that drive themselves.
