ETA - now I'm having second thoughts about whether I should keep the blouse at all, rather than spend more money on it!! Not modest enough for my standards without a cami, and sometimes looks odd with one. This was an expensive blouse by my standards, but not sure about it at all.

So, can you return it or did you buy it too long ago? This is where I tend to get the guilts about stuff I've bought and then feel I've made a mistake on. This is happening less because I am learning to buy better. Sometimes I make myself wear the item and then warm up to it. If you can't return it, maybe try that and do a homemade job on the sleeves- or those elasticated bands for holding sleeves up if you have any? ( Mine are at least 20 years old, I think bought for a jacket years ago).

I just checked your other post and saw the blouse - I don't know if you can sew or not, but if you are willing to let go of the cuffs (I think I see narrow cuffs) - you can have a very easy fix by replacing the cuffs with elastic.
- Measure your arm length and then add 2 to 3 inches for the balloon effect
- Cut the cuff
- Turn the hem inside and create a casing (see video)
- Cut a piece of elastic the size of your wrist plus half or one inch
- Run the elastic through the casing and sew the ends together

If you can't do it yourself, I don't think it will be an expensive alteration. I found this video tutorial that might help you (sleeve at 4:15) https://youtu.be/htr6YkTa39c

Jenni and Joy - I can't return it - I bought it a year ago, and have worn it, washed it etc. I bought it with YLF approval, I'm pretty sure, though I don't know if the neckline was visible when I showed it to the forum. Maybe I'm overeacting.

Jenni - I don't have those elasticated cuffs, but I know what you mean - my grandfather had them!

Angie - thanks. To your point, if it's an expensive alternation I should try JP's detailed suggestion (thanks so much!!). I can sew to some extent - I hem skirts and pants and can take in seams. This fabric is slippery though, so I might muck it up. But it the alternative is to get rid of it then nothing ventured, nothing gained!
