Hi Angie:
I'm so happy I found your blog. I live over in Wenatchee, so I love reading a somewhat "local" blog. I apologize if this is something that has already been discussed, but I am new here, so I hope that helps.
What is the best way to begin editing my closet? I know that I really do need to work on this, but I have no idea how to get started.

Stephanie - welcome! What a lot of us do is take photos of the different clothing items, post the photos here, and ask for feedback on what to keep and what to get rid of. I've been doing this and it's very helpful.

Thanks, Ladies. I took some of your advice. I made 3 separate piles: 1) donate, 2) alter, or 3) sell. It feels good to get rid of some things, and I don't even have the urge to replace them!

See what you miss when you're absent for 9 months? Geesh. Thanks for reposting the closet thread, April. Now I'm curious... Did a closet challenge thread happen? Is it over? I may just be motivated enough to engage in a major closet overhaul. As long as I don't have to post the embarrassing "before" pics. Umm... or the "after" pics.

My biggest problem - and there are many- is the "I might wear this again if it is... tailored... mended... worn underneath something" pile. I hate this pile because I *never* get around to tailoring or mending or wearing underneath. I am also reluctant to donate things that I *might* wear again (but haven't). So I end up hanging onto things. Just in case.

Ladies, April's closet is as amazing in person as it is in pictures. It's small, but mighty. And it's a perfect closet to shop.

And my closet has a lot more space in it since Mae was here!

To avoid taking over Steph's thread, I'm going to start a new one for closet advice to Mae and anyone who is holding onto mediocre items because you might mend/tailor/need them some day...
