Angie, I read in one of Suz's posts how you encouraged her to change her hair. Once she took your advice and followed through it was practically transformational for her. I've been feeling like I should change my hair, and probably glasses too, and would like to ask for your help.

I'm rather uncomfortable putting my face out here, but here goes.

My current cut/style is quite low maintenance, which is a HUGE plus for me. Wash, dry, flat iron and I'm good for 3 days with a daily flat iron touch up. On particularly unruly days I can pull back in a ponytail.  My naturally bushy hair has a mind of its own with 2 or 3 oddly placed waves that are nothing less than aggravating on the many humid summer days here.

Other than ease of care my other issue of concern is my neck/chin area. I feel like my current style may be dragging down my face and/or emphasising the neck/chin.  Maybe I'me being overly critical?  I just don't know.

The color varies somewhat depending on what my stylist suggests.  I'm practically all gray and just not ready to go there yet.

Of course my husband likes it long.  He is so easy going about everything else (I'm looking at you, cluttered kitchen) that I've kept it long for him. Otherwise it would probably be very, very short like it was some 30 years ago after graduating from college. Almost a pixie and caring for it was a breeze.

Pic 2 - the two shorter pics (with old glasses) are a length that is troublesome in humidity. I included them for a length reference.
Pic 3 - thought the full body shot might be helpful. I never bother smiling for the camera because I know I'm going to edit : )

So I guess my main question regarding the hair is if I'm doing myself a disservice with the current cut?

And on to the glasses. I'll need a new prescription within the year as I find myself squinting at everything.  I've never been happy with these because I think they make me look like a man. A lighter color would probably be better on me?

Thanks for you suggestions, I really appreciate it.
