Texstyle, thanks for the information on the oils - I'll have to look into them because humidity really does a number on my hair.

I'll talk to my stylist about working with layers and waves - probably starting with the current length or growing out some then going shorter later if I decide - my appointment is next month.

Eye doctor appointment is next week so hopefully I'll be posting some glasses pics soon.

But now that I think of it - should I wait on new frames until after the hair is resolved?

I just wanted to chime in and say that I really like the slightly longer length in the last photo you posted in a subsequent photo on this thread - beautiful on you!

It may not be that you want to go shorter after all, but rather - a bit longer!

In the meantime, I don't think you need to wait on glasses, because I'm guessing that glasses need to work with your face, and that you wouldn't want to buy new glasses based on a hairstyle that could be transient anyway.

Agree with Angie in that you might want some new specs that aren't quite as rectangular, and I also agree with a previous poster that the colour of the glasses with the longer hair cut in the final photo in your most recent pictures posted looks really good on you.

You have beautiful hair!!! It's just a matter of finding the right cut. You already have the colour just right.
