Ask Angie (and everyone): Heed lace jacket for holiday party?

Angie, thanks for the info about the lace peplum jacket from the post today! Do you think it would work as a dressy topper for my LBD and other dressy outfits? I don't want the outfit to look too businessy.

For reference, it's the dress in this post, unless I happen to find a better one in the next few weeks.

The blue jacket is absolutely fabulous! I think you must acquire! Max & Mia cropped jackets don't fit me too well, in that a M is perfect on my shoulders but won't button up. But longer versions are perfect. (I'm 5ft 8" and 136) If at all you're going to need help in making a choice between the max and Mia and the blue one, I'd really suggest the blue one.

Junebug, I was thinking about getting both actually. I am extremely (EXTREMELY) short waisted so the cropped length is great for me. What size do you normally take in jackets, if you don't mind my asking?

OK, now I have THREE jackets in my cart. =P (lace, plaid, and floral). On the other hand, I did just return both teal leather jackets, so shoe math?

By the way the metallic green gibson (also shown in this morning's blog post) is on sale too, but it's too boyfriendy and long for me.

Thanks, Junebug. I think I'm going to try the Large in the Max&Mia, since I'm normally an 8 and I'd like to be able to button it!

Also, I think I'm going to get this instead of the first Free People floral blazer that Angie linked. I like this tapestry print better and bonus, it's not a blazer!

Love the tailcoat! Can totally see it with your Liberty skinnies also (like she's wearing in the 3rd pic). Very romantic - Mochi needs to see it for her romantic edge capsule.

All right, I ordered three jackets. The blue lace tailcoat, the plaid riding jacket, and the free people tapestry moto. Fingers crossed!

I remember that someone said on my jackets post that I probably shouldn't buy all the jackets on my wish list at once. Oops?
