not aida, but this one is easy (AJ asked and Aida answered partway thru the thread)

AJ, the jeans are selvage GAP relaxed straight leg jeans, 100% cotton and zero stretch. Not "proper" BF jeans, but that is what I bought them for.

If they are indeed the Gap selvedge jeans, here is my review of them:

I didn't like how they fit my pear shape because they were rather too stiff and I could not pull them down low enough on my hips for my taste. The Sexy BF jeans have a larger waist and lower rise and are generally softer and slouchier.

Anyway, I think the selvedges would be best for those with smaller hips.

thanks diana...so when you say small hips, do you mean proportionally or absolutely?

also, thanks for the tip on the sbfs. i have several pairs on order.

proportionally. Specifically, I think the high hip to waist ratio is important. I carry my weight (and width) high in the hips and butt, and these jeans have a more tapered waistband so I couldn't really pull them down low on my hips. If you are a pear that is wider lower down (lower hips or thigh) they might work better.

Diana's right ... I am pretty narrow at the hipbones and wide at the top of the thigh and these worked well for me.

I'm guessng Aida is wearing a size up.

Huh, interesting. I assumed I would not fit these because of Diana's review for pears... but I think my rear is shaped more like Aida's, with volume in the back. Drat, BJ, I'm upset I missed that sale, too!

Aida, while we're asking you things, what size did you get?
