I imagine the sky that isn't shown would be sunny and bright - thus I'm doing a lot more white than is shown in the painting. The patterns (shirt, jacket) and the swirly lace of the navy tank top make me think of the balcony and the water.
I could do this colour scheme all month! These are my colours...
