Yes. Keep. They look great. Even better than I thought they would.

Janet, how about we trade body halves? I can't dress my top half to save my life! And I can borrow your waist.

LBD, you are hilarious! And I love Louis CK - he is from my hometown. Okay, we can wear these with pride...

Wear them and have fun. You look great--there are no blue jeans rules in my book. I have 2 very blinged-out jeans in my closet and have every intention of wearing them. I am surprised that some are saying they are out -- I have been seeing them in the stores. I see all types of jeans in the stores.

They are very popular where Iive too - for all ages. I think you would wear them well and with your own personal style. I say go for it.

Una, your photos are not actually providing a demonstration of said blingy butt.

The shape of those is fantastic on you! I don't even care what the pockets look like...

I like the term "blingy-butt!" I've seen them in the stores (it was either Macy's or Lord & Taylor, can't remember) but not on people. Some here on the forum wear them and look great in them. I think they'll add a fun, retro/modern flare to your wardrobe.

I am with UmmLila. A front shot of the blingy butt jeans tells us nothing about said bling. They look okay from the front, though I am not a huge fan of the chunky stitching. Chunky stitching and bling on the bum have always been an "out" for me, so maybe I just have a poison eye. But if things are "out" in the Midwest, then perhaps they are back "in" in more urban areas.

Personally, I love bling anywhere I can get it. I love these on you, the wash is better than in the stock photos as others mentioned, so the stitching contrast isn't as high which would be my main issue with them. The way you are wearing them is very updated, they fit well, and I like the look overall.

I'm not into bling so I don't want to comment, other than to say if you love them, get them.

My favorite thing about this thread is that you brought home the bling BECAUSE of "all the contrary feedback." We need more of that fighting spirit around here.

PS I do think we deserve a back view.

A back view would be nice, Una.

My thumbs are up too. Plus you're covering the bling, so does it really matter? Great fitting jeans. Enjoy.

This also raises the question of "even if something reads 'dated' or 'not current' or 'too young' or 'trashy,' so what?" Do we always need to be on top of or leading the crest of the trend? Is there not room in our lives for things that might color outside the lines, but that we like, feel fierce wearing and "who gives a damn?" Isn't that actually what defines personal style? So what if your style is blingy-butt, tons of layers of cheap jewelry and piled up messy hair with a lot of makeup? That's not my style, but it's OK for others. Where's the fuzzy border where being too harshly judgy begins? Does it begin with ourselves? I struggle with this because I tend to narrow my eyes and judge others' style decisions when I should be checking out my own glass house before I throw the bricks.
