Apparently, farmer chic

Dear ladies, keeping my fashion resolutions in 2015, or at least trying.

Don't love this outfit. Love the plaid shirt (JCrew Factory) but it washed a bit funny this time so it looks off. Paired with blue slim straights and Viv's boots. Wearing heatgear underneath in charcoal grey and my denim jacket up top (cold day!). I 'm waiting for a knit moto in charcoal to try with this since I don't love the denim tuxedo.

Advice always welcome.

I really like this with the denim jacket. I've been having trouble wearing my plaid shirts because they look so expansive on my wide middle. You've inspired me to experiment with toppers.

And I know what you're saying about the denim tuxedo, but I think the denims are different enough to look intentional.

I love #2. Those colours are rich and the look is divinely Tomboy on you. I don't mind head to denim at all. I also like the rolled sleeve cuffs because they add textural interest to the outfit. I vote nicely done. xo

ATLynn-- thanks for stopping by --- The shirt DOES look wide in the photo. Not sure if it comes off like that in person, but I wear a everyday at work because during the winter my office is about 60 degrees. Glad I inspired you, and I am glad the denim's show enough variety.

Angie-- glad you popped by. The first photo needs something, doesn't it? Divinely Tomboy sounds right up my alley, and as far as the colors go, that is what the SO said. Glad you noticed the cuffed sleeves-- I love the jacket like that.

Jackie -- Glad to see you! I didn't originally think I'd like the grey plaid, but the contrast is just right on me. Farmer chic is right up my alley, although in CO we have moved on to the epic farmer fashion statement of double duck cloth!

You might not like the sound of this Elly, but the first outfit would look GREAT with a belt and a partial tuck. Black belt because I think you would prefer the lower contrast.

You are finding GREAT shirts.

And perhaps your style moniker can be Divine Tomboy. The juxtaposition with your curvy body and very pretty face is divine. xo

Meredith, I suppose you can appreciate my concerns, as our states are brethren in the land of denim tuxedos.

Karie, I appreciate you stopping by, and good to know! I think it helps when the flannel and double denim look is presented on a female. LOL

Angie-- That is an excellent idea. I'm not opposed at all. I'm still just looking for a leather belt I like-- most have been really stiff. I have one that should come this weekend, and I will try that. Thank you for the suggestion. I've been really surprised this winter by how well the button-ups have worked out. I never thought I could do them with my bust and waist combo, but with more fluid fits and softer fabrications I've been enjoying them. Divine tomboy, huh?
