Anyone want Missoni?

It's all on e-bay, sadly, that's for sure. It's limited edition but I'm not sure how much restocking will be done. Our store was telling people they are not getting any more merchandise, but of course, we're out in the boonies.

I've been trying to get online all morning and their entire system is down! Maybe I'll take a drive over there this afternoon - don't know if there will be anything left, but it might be worth a try!

Una - did you notice what kind of fabric the blouses are made out of? Also, what did those flat shoes look like? Any support in them?

Marley, I didn't look closely at the ballet flats. They have a very low vamp and don't look too flimsy - I think there was a strap? The blouses were mostly gone but looked to be nylon or satin-poly. They had puffy sleeves so I skipped them, but they were LOVELY. I can go back tonight and look some more...

I went to Target today having no idea it was Missoni, day, LOL! The employees were laughing about how crazy it was. As soon as they put something from the fitting room back on a rack someone took it off. They said people were lining up outside at 7 a.m.! I snagged a sweater and a sweater dress, but I have no idea if they fit as I didn't have time to try them on.

I would link you to a photo on the website, but I'm getting a message that says "Woof! We are suddenly extremely popular. You may not be able to access our site momentarily due to unusually high traffic. Please stay here and we'll try to get you in as soon as we can!"

What annoyed me and other shoppers were the women who had piled their carts high with clothes (literally dozens of things) and then walked around the store with them while they decided. Poor shopping etiquette, IMO. I really wanted a pair of those cute knit flats, so I hope that I can get them on the website. Not hopeful, though.

There are over 4,000 items on ebay as of right now. It's so sad people would do this. I would think it would make Missoni regret partnering with Target, but I am no business person to really know if this is true or not. It seems so rude.

Ah yes, Ebay. I guess that's why those women were walking around with carts full of things. That's just not right, but what can you do?

Target should limit the number of items an individual can purchase. That might help a bit.

Una, you are a real sweetie to offer to pick up stuff.

I guess I was lucky: I popped onto the Target website around 11:30 and was able to order three things! I just got back from the actual Target in my town, and it was pretty picked over (just one lonely picture frame in the housewares). I was able to look at/feel some of the knits for quality. I have to say the knitwear stuff looks really good; it looks like a mix of rayon and cotton, or maybe rayon and poly. Nice drape and decent heaviness, especially compared to other high profile Target collaborations. The blouses were poly and the zig zags didn't line up at the buttons, so that's a no-go for me. I tested out the rolling carry-on suitcase. The zipper was a little fussy and the extending pull thing was a bit wobbly, so a no-go there too. I did get some socks and some hose at the store :).

The sweater I got is 100% Rayon, and the sweater dress is 70% Rayon, 30% Nylon, if that helps anyone.

I managed to get on the website now, but it's acting very wonky.
