I do not need the bicycle. I do not need the bicycle. I live on big hill, I need a bike with real gears.

Jonesy, I just grabbed the suitcase because my old one just broke on our last trip. I'm going to inspect everything in peace at home. The little warning about the plastic causing cancer (but only in California) kind of freaked me out.

I got the long black and blue cardi, two regular cardis (one from the children's section in XL!), the blue zigzag skirt, and the blue tunic dress. Will model at home for feedback from y'all. I have to say, Missoni is my designer love, so I am not feeling as guilty as I should. The quality of the knits honestly didn't seem THAT different from the real Missoni item I have already. I agree that non-matching zigzags are a no-go for me too.

Then I got a bunch of small items - the storage boxes for my tights and a beanie cap for skiing.

Anna, we had one bike at our store and it was gone!

I really wanted those zigzag flats, but they seem to be sold out on the website, too.

Una, you are a gem!

I just placed a couple of online orders for some blouses, brown/gold cardigan, black pumps, black & white swimsuit, and sweater dress/legging/hat set for my daughter. I wasn't sure what size so I ended up ordering duplicates in S and M figuring I'll just return the ones that don't fit. The website was down all morning but when I finally got on, it was really slow and glitchy so I just decided to grab what I had in the cart before it crashed again. I can't believe how people are acting at the stores, that is so rude. I hate that kind of frenzied shopping, so I'm glad I don't have to go to the store (besides, it's half an hour away from my house). Well, we'll see if anything is a keeper! Una, you are so nice to be shopping for others. When I get my order, I'll check if anyone wants the ones I don't want before I return them (if they're sold out online).

LOL, Una, I was also sorely tempted to snag a cardigan in girl's XL but I had to remind myself that Missoni prints aren't really my thing on that scale. I can do them on accessories or even that long black cardigan with minimal print on the sides but not an entire garment.

I went to one of the Tucson stores this morning....two girls were taking everything they could grab, throwing it in a cart and off they went. I got in, and got the black/gold/ brown sweater. Very nice. Nothing else, because they were being total pigs. However, when I finally got online, and went through what was in the line, I'm happy with what I got. I think it will look fabulous with lots of stuff, and I didn't break the bank going crazy buying more than I needed.....Not surprised some of the stuff has hit ebay already. Guess Target didn't think that through very well. Nice of you, Una, to help others out who were unable to score what they wanted!

Una, you are a sweetheart! I haven't been able to get on their site all day. Typically, they do these designers on a Sunday, not Tuesday. This is the first Target designer sale I have missed in a long time. I look forward to seeing all of the fab pieces scored. Post away, Ladies!

Una - I'm wanting anything in the blue print. I'm not going to get there for another hour and a half. I'll PM you my cell phone number in case you get there before me! Thank you!

Congrats on your haul alaskagirl! I was able to get through this morning and pick up a few things. How is everything fitting? I got the long blue and black cardi too but I had to go with the medium since the small was sold out. I'm wondering if I should try my local store to see if they have it in stock.

I stalked the web site loading/reloading until I could sneak in. I did get a couple items: a blouse, 1 black textured sweater, 2 zig-zag shells. I got it all in medium since I wasn't sure about sizing....I am assuming its sizing small?

I was sad about the style of the dresses. I really don't like crew neck style and that was all they had. And the skirts were SHORT. I was hoping a more knee length style would be available. Well fingers crossed that what I did get will work out. I just LOVE those zig-zags!

I managed to get online and order a blouse, the pumps, a silk scarf, and a tote. I didn't realize until later that the black sweater with white trim I wanted didn't make it into my bag and now it is sold out online and in stores by me (at least you can check now). Sucks it is now on ebay for $150 - people are just so greedy, it is sad.

It is disgusting. The bag I got today is on ebay for twice the price!

People can be so greedy, it IS disgusting. I waited until the website was up and ordered the intarsia rose sweater:

WOOHOO!

Man, this was nuts. I went to Target mid-morning only to encounter empty racks. Everything had been bought up w/in half an hour of the store opening. I guess I was foolish to think I could waltz in two hours after the store opened and get anything... (The sales rep told me that there were long lines outside before 8am...) And the site is down, probably nothing available there anymore either. Wow, I knew this would be popular, but I didn't think it would be that big!
The sales rep also told me that they expect more stuff to come into the store on Thursday or Friday...

For anyone still able to score something, the sizing ran pretty TTS for me. I was a small in the bottoms and a small or medium in the tops. Because everything is stretchy, it's more about how tight you want the fit.

Well, I tried on my sweater and sweater dress. The sizing was a little weird for me. I got the sweater in M because it was either that or XL - I usually take a small. It fit through the torso but was super short - just at the waist. (and I'm short waisted) And the sleeves were too long.

I had little hope for the sweater dress, being the only size they had was XS. Surprise, it fits! It's a little outside my comfort zone, but I will try to get photos tomorrow and you all can let me know what you think. I think it will look cute with tights or leggings and boots. It's this dress (not as short on me):

Cindy, if it's the pink zig-zag cardigan, I tried it in the women's size and it was supershort - I ended up getting it in the girl's XL!

No, it was the green v-neck pullover sweater with the purple trim. I'll have to go back tomorrow and see if they have it in girls!

I think I am glad now that I live in Canada, we do not have Target here and I am not tempted to participate in this madness. It sounds really crazy! Was it like this with other Target designer collaborations or is Missoni that special in this regard?
Una, you are a trooper for doing this - but is is really funny that Alaska is the easiest place to get Missoni something...

Sveta, I've never bothered with the other collaborations so I don't know how they compare. The quality of the clothing is quite nice to my eye. I mostly wanted housewares (the pillows!) but they were gone before I got there. Yes, living in Alaska does have some weird advantages, I suppose. Although I can't think of another designer I would bother about, other than this one.

OK, I admit I went nuts online. I placed another order for some more girls' clothes for DD in bigger sizes to put away for later. And I bought a bunch of stuff earlier today for myself, but at least half of it will be going back since I ordered two sizes to try, and others may not look good on me. I'm planning to get feedback from you guys and whatever I don't keep, I'll check with you guys if you need it before I return them.

So, what I want to know now is, will everyone and their dog (there was this cute girls' poncho that would be perfect for pups!) be walking around in Target Missoni now? Will we be embarrassed to wear our Target stuff since everyone we meet is going to be decked out in Missoni as well and say "Oh, you too? I have the same sweater!" And will the people who have real Missoni clothes avoid wearing it because everyone else is wearing the cheap stuff and they don't want to look like they shop at Target? LOL!

I read somewhere (can't remember where) that the stores are getting more stock in later this week.
