anybody rock a black leather blazer?

Two of my friends - with very different bodies, coloring, styles, personalities, etc. - rock a very simple black leather blazer during the Spring and Fall. They both look amazing - modern, up-to-date, and yet not trendy. I'm thinking I need one. It's a perfect topper for our windy windy OK springs. Anybody here have one? Do you find it versatile? Can you show how you wear it?

Me. I don't know if I rock it, but I have a black leather version of the Theory Lanai blazer which I wear as if it was not leather.

Black is not the most flattering colour on me, so I currently don't own any black jackets, but I do love the look on others if it's well-executed (like Una's black blazer). And it does sound very versatile for your climate.

I have a few projects to finish first, but will see if I can find some pinterest links as inspiration asap.

I wear my leather blazer A LOT and have had it for a couple of years now. It is a true staple item and I dress it up or down. Here's a couple of quick examples of styling.

Shannon rocks hers - but I think partially due to her salt and pepper hair. Do you wear a lot of black? Black footwear?

Jules, I do wear a fair bit of black, and I have very dark hair, which is starting to salt and pepper.

Shannon's is a collarless zip version. It's an awesome jacket; I have the same one in taupe. Her WIW posts convinced me to buy it!

Funny, I was just thinking about this very topic the other day! Unfortunately for me the blazer I was looking at was a very classic, notched collar style. I'm not sure I can pull it off in a cute way rather than a frumpy way. Maybe if it didn't have patch pockets. Ugh.

I really like these more modern examples. I'll try to keep an eye out for one!

I have one:) I love it. I use it to make my more corporate ensembles more 'me'. I also wear it casually over jeans, usually with a longer top layered under it. It's a great piece, it can go anywhere.

Mine's more coat than blazer, but since my office is pretty much my car, I wear it all day like I would a blazer or long cardi. So love it! Plus, more inspiration for you from the master, EA.

Also: when trying to come up with ideas on how to style it, I would definitely think of it as a regular non-leather black blazer and see how you would want to sport that. (or search for outfits with regular black blazers on Pinterest etc.).

Thanks, MG.One thing I should have mentioned...I bought this for myself for my 35th birthday...15 years ago. It has been re-dyed once, and I condition it every year at home. Still looks new.
