Another styling on the poison eye cardi-bomber

I know this topper is not popular here. That is fine with me I have had it a week and it is becoming a workhorse with 3 wears already!

After reading IK's uniform post about how she finds that a slim profile is what she reaches for as a base I decided to try the same with a slim knee boot/skinny/layering T base to let the topper shine.

I love how warm and easy it is to wear and how the silk crepe moves. Maybe I will win some of you over to this look, but if not that's okay too...

Do you like it better here than with the pink button down and BF last go? (pic 2) Have other styling suggestions? Gonna hate it no matter what? Thanks for your feedback and styling suggestions

I do like it better how you have styled it in 1. I think it would look good over a longer flowy layer too.

I must have missed your other post with this jacket. I think it looks good in both these outfits. I like #1 with the yellow top and the white belt and #2 looks great with the rolled jeans and the pattened flats. If you like the jacket than that's really all that counts.

Sarah, I think the jacket looks great great in #1. I like how you've paired it with the slim top which balances the slightly oversized shape of the jacket. And the different lengths between the belt and the hem of the jacket really make this a flattering look. Fabulous!

I must have missed your other post too. I like the bomber both ways. It looks like a great casual topper. I can see why you reach for it. It adds a bit of refinement to the BF jeans and it looks sleek with the skinnies. Win win.

I like the proportions in #1 a lot better - I think you could easily tuck the pink top and add a belt to create another similar outfit. So glad you are enjoying it!

Another woo-hoo! for #1. I like it in this view very much, better than the second, original look, in which I liked each element better than the combined effect.

This topper will look terrific in later spring, too!

I love your attitude! I should be so brave. I missed your other post on this topper, but how about trying it with a plain white T tucked in with the white belt from #1 and the BF's in #2? Silk crepe you say? Yum.

I much prefer this in #1. I think sleek underlayer is the way to go, to allow the jacket to be the focus.

I like #1--both the proportions and the color combo. Not a fan with ripped jeans but I can see you may want to wear it many ways.

I like the proportions in #1 much more. And I am so glad you are enjoying it. I think it's really vital to pay attention, as you're doing, to the things that truly make us feel fab. There is something about the movement and drape of this piece that speaks to a deep part of your emerging style persona. GO with that!!

Suz you are really onto something here, I was just thinking about this in a more abstract sense (like "I am really into silk right now" -- it is just spring or j crew or I am trying to find something else to "collect") earlier today and of course you have found the words for it -- the drape and movement are key. Thanks!
