[Another] Crop top + long dress

Alright. I'm crazy about crop tops. I wish they never go out of fashion, hehe. I like to layering them up over dresses or shirts, etc. sometimes I wear them with high waisted skirts. I'm still looking for the perfect pair of pants.

I ordered a faux leather crop top online from mink pink.. I was nervous because when you order online there's always the risk that the item doesn't fit you. Well, I'm happy with the result

Yesterday I paired it with a long baggy dress (a dress that is oh, so simple but that I like because of its versatility). I show you the dress by itself so you can see how the look and proportions change with the crop top.

Unfortunaly I don't have a full photo of the outfit but I wore a pair of cognac high boots.

I love this! Such a good idea and I also love the different textures that come into play with the layering. I also love the crop top trend in theory, and think crop tops would work well with my short waist, but in practice haven't played with them much (mostly because I can't figure out how to work them into my professional office wardrobe).

I think it is a really fun garment, I'm not really sure how I would make it work in an office environment but I'm pretty sure someone here knows how to. I've seen a lot of crop top sweaters over button shirts here and I think it looks great :).

I only own one dropped vest (with a boat neckline) that I bought earlier this season and have worn a couple of times, but essentially it is a sweater so I have to wear it as such, with a long sleeved top layered underneath.
Actually, come to think of it, a bunch of my cardigans are waist-length, which is practically cropped...but I haven't ventured any further into this trend than sweaters.
Let me look at some possibilities because I really like the idea of some help interpreting this one! Maybe I'll buy something in the post-Christmas sales.
