I’ve had an eye out for a long-sleeved, patterned midi dress that could be worn in winter, as I have nothing like that anymore. Not too dressy, but could be dressed up or dressed down. I’ve struck out with a few TRR tries, and current retail seems really sparse with offerings that suit me (wrong colors, too much frou frou, prints that don’t appeal, bad necklines for me, etc).

I tried this on the other day when I got those faux leather pants, and I’m liking it. There are slits in the sides (you can see where my socks end — obviously I’d wear opaque tights or leggings, maybe even a black skirt underneath). There is a nice beaded detail at the neckline too. It shows a bit of cleavage but that doesn’t bother me.

I think the print looks nicer in person than in my photos. Here’s the link to it online.

Obviously it doesn’t fit me the same way it fits the model — nothing ever does — and I would style it with different boots, and probably a cropped black or denim jacket. It has lovely movement and swish, which of course is not evident in photos. It’s a bit boho, but I don’t mind a touch of that as long as I style it properly for me.

What do we think of this dress for me?
