Well, it came home with me, and I haven’t tried it on for my husband yet, but I think I’m liking it. I think the hint of cleavage may meet his approval.
Yes, I absolutely thought of my light suede knee-high boots for a mild-weather styling for this. I’d probably mostly wear it with black booties or tall boots though — but more refined/fitted, and not as chunky as what I have on here (these are super super comfortable but have a bit of flowerpot effect as they are not fitted on the ankle, so they are best worn with jeans).
I’ll try some stylings with jackets and see how I feel, but in trying it on again, I really did like the feel of it. It’s a lot of pattern, so I want to make sure I like it enough to commit!
