ankle pants...yes or no?

Hi there so here is an outfit I put together last night. ilike it with my new fab necklace but I am unsure about the pant length especially for fall/winter. I do live in a warmish climate. What do you think?

Looks like a fab outfit to me! I think if you're in a warm climate and you're comfortable in it, then heck ya, wear it!

You look great! I think bare ankles in winter is fine if it's not cold. I might try different shoes though. These look kind of light/summery to me, even though they're closed toe. Maybe something with a heel if you're worried about the length of the pants?

My ankle pants hit me where yours do (I'm 5'8") and I wore them a lot when it was warmer. I have seen them in the stores for fall/winter, worn with heels or flats. I recently wore mine tucked into a pair of boots since it's getting cold here. I say go for it, especially since you live in a warmer climate!

You look great. I love your red pants! I see no reason to worry about your pant length. You mentioned that it's warmer where you are, so you'll be fine -- as long as you are comfortable (mentally and physically).

I think they look great and if you are comfortable, why not wear them?
I do agree that a darker shoe would make them seem more wintery and go with the heavier fabric and color of the tops.
A velvet ballet slipper or a leopard print would look nice and seasonally appropriate.

It looks like you have the height, legs and climate to pull off this look. Cropped/ankle pants are so on trend! A pair of dark pumps would indeed look fantastic, and the dark flats idea is spot on as well.

This is a very well put together outfit. I dont think at 5'3", I can ever pull that length off but you look really nice.

This is a super cute outfit and as Cocolion said, you have all the combined elements to rock it.
However being winter, and given the pants colour, I wonder if you could try a more wintery footwear, such as a bootie. I suspect the contrast with the pants would be fun.

I actually think the red/silver/black combo is kind of Christmas/holiday so it works for me. But that is perhaps more of a personal reaction on my part rather than a fashion eye (it's very different than the cropped pants looks Angie posted, obviously).

A bit late to the party, but I'd like to see them a little slimmer at the hem opening or possibly an inch shorter so we see a little more leg. I am clearly in the minority on that, though
