I've been orbiting widely in recent weeks and it's lovely to have a bit of time up my sleeve to re-join the forum.
Waving at everyone!
I've linked to a post from last September - ankle pants with ankle strap shoes - which makes sense because it was then Fall for northern fabbers as it is now for us in the Land of Oz.
Well, there's no place for Okala style ankle strap shoes in my dressed-down life but I wanted shoes that were similarly fashion forward. I've listened to the forum on this, with veterans stating again and again the key role shoes play in their style.
I idenitifed a wardrobe hole for tan (cognac) sandals or boots so I snaffled these hybrids as soon as I spotted them on Styletread.com.au. They are high heeled but stable and sturdy, which fits perfectly with "robust", one of my style descriptors.
They are "glue" shoes that I wear with just about everything in my wardrobe, looking particularly marvellous with all navy or all white plus a tan belt. I just love them to pieces.
I could almost as easily have linked to another of Angie's recent ensembles: "boxy shirt over boxy sweater" but this Charles Tyrwhitt blue gingham is more fitted than boxy and the grey high low top is only just roomy enough to go over it.
The white denim jeans are my indicator pants and fit me At The Moment. Hm.
I think the roll up is at the right length IRL but the camera angle tells a slighly different story.
I noted on Sharon's post the other day that I have finally fixed on my style descriptors: modern; classic; casual; robust; and feminine. I think this outift portrays those elements well.
Photo bombers are darling doggies Fifi and Shep. They never like to be left out of the action.
Always happy to hear what you have to say.
