I know 'bookending' with hair color is not an iron clad rule, but that is sort of the main reason I initially passed on the Sam Edelman 'Petty' snakeprint booties - although the heel height is ideal for me, as a MOTG.

Then I saw that Sveta had scooped them up (a fellow brunette), and I might have just ordered them for myself (that darn fashionable creature, Sveta!).

The question remains, how do you style lighter colored footwear when you have darker hair? Do you favor adding in a lighter color on top (either the top itself or a scarf) or perhaps pair it with lightwash denim (for a long leg line), or do you just say to heck with it and make the light footwear a "statement" in a darker color outfit?
