Sam Edelman Python booties -- how to wear?

So I got mine today! They are gorgeous and comfy. The thing that gives me pause about keeping is that I have no idea how to wear them! I saw Parsley's post in which she wore them with white denim (nice!). Any other suggestions? Do you think the shape lends itself to shorts or dresses, barelegged or otherwise? What about for dark-haired gals?

I'd love to know this, too, especially for dark haired girls. I love how they look, but don't know how I'd wear them?

Well, I haven't played around with them any more yet, but I'm thinking about wearing them with jeans, a white blouse, and just about any color jacket or cardigan. I think the white would bookend nicely. It may be easier for blondes.

I doubt that I'll wear mine with dresses, but I bet they'd look good on the right person that way.

I received mine today but I had them mailed to my permanent address rather than my current address, so I'm not able to try them on for another month. That said, I haven't decided yet whether I'll keep them... I have dark hair and tan skin, and I don't wear pants that often, so they need to work with skirts and dresses.

Ditto here, ladies. My pair of 'Angie's boots' are on order and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I will get them. I figured I would be a copycat on outfits Angie puts together for these boots but she'll probably need a few weeks to rest after being so busy with NAS.

I don't have mine yet but they look pretty low contrast with my skin so they can be worm with bare legs with dresses and skirts (I hope). They also have a bit of heel which should help as well. I have pretty light in color animal print booties and I wear them with everything- and I have dark hair.

I returned mine, so I don't have any tried-and-true styling ideas, but I was planning to wear them with bare legs/shorts/skirts, and also with jeans and pants. I like short boots like this worn with slightly cropped or cuffed jeans/pants (if the bottoms are sort of narrow or tapered) or with jeans/pants that come over the booties (if the bottoms are boot cut or flared).

I didn't like the colors: I really want some that are gray/black, with cooler tones, and these are warm browns, olive, warm yellowish off-white. Also, I didn't like the pattern placement: These are done in a traditional way, with the one pattern down the top of the boot, and I don't like it (I think it elongates an already-long foot, in my case). Also, they were too big, but I fear that the smaller size would be too small (they don't make 10.5s, which is what I usually need).

I really want a pair like this, from Jimmy Choo, but they are around $1600. They are black and gray, with the pattern placement I like, and a perfect heel height :(. Maybe if I win the lotto.

ETA to add the Sam Edelman's to show the contrast in pattern placement.

I wear my dalmatian booties a lot, and they have a similar color. I personally stick them under pants, but I think they can work with tights/bare legs if you like the look. I'm sure I've seen it done. I like mine best bookended but have also done a pop of white in a dark outfit.

Sorry that they didn't work out, Jonesy. The Sam Edelmans are great "blonde shoes" :). The colours you are after are more flop proof for brunetttes and your style! I personally LOVE the long round toe and the pattern placement of the SE's. To my eye, they look pretty and fresh. But the way in which you want to wear snake skin booties, and for your colour palette, makes the JC's perfect as can be. (We still need to rob that bank).

Cathy, I probably won't wear mine with skirts and dresses. I am going to wear the heck out of them with all my trousers and jeans!

Rae will be of great inspiration here as she has similar colouring and style to you.

Hey, Cathy - Received mine yesterday and I loooooooove them! The colors seemed light but still autumnal.

I happened to be wearing white skinny jeans (will have to track down Parsley's post) and thought the shoes looked fab with them. I'm going to wear them to death with skinny jeans, and I'll definitely experiment with full-length boyfriend jeans, too.

Mine arrived today, and as a blonde they are are going to be a great, fresh addition to my wardrobe. I rarely wear new items right away. Tomorrow I'm going to wear them with boot cut jeans and a cream Equipment blouse, untucked. I like the look for its simplicity, and the boots add a fun edge. I think they could also be worn with a suit, for example. Show us how you style them! I'm a fan of these, and we'll see how they feel after a full day at work.
