Angie's challenge;WIW day 4 & 5

The week was hectic and busy. But I managed to snap a couple of poor selfies before running out the door. Navy and white ensemble was Thursday's outfit and black and hot mustard velvet pants were my semi casual Friday outfit.

Why are these "me outfits"? This is a typical work uniform = trousers+blouse+blazer. I work in a business formal environment but due to my profession I can inject some creativity. The navy and white represents my love of white and contrast. I love color and contrast. Friday's outfit is an example of my love of prints and color. I like to look polished, structured, professional with a dash of color and fun. I feel like I am me within the confines of a formal environment but let my personality show through. Make sense? I secretely feel a tad rebellious when i am surrounded by a sea of black, blue and navy suits.

You had me at navy and white lol! Love how you’ve taken business formal and moved it away from basic dress pants, blouse and blazer to something much more interesting.
Now tell me about the white blazer as I’m on a perpetual hunt for a good one.

Kkards the white blazer is from BR last summer I think. Its cotton and linen. I purchased it as a filler until I can find my perfect white blazer. Its the long and lean style. Its nice but wrinkles a lot. It works for now until i can find a classic fit one. Thanks for the kind words.

Really bright and polished looks. I sometimes wish I worked in a formal business environment, because your kind of style really appeals to me. I never had that kind of position, though, and I wouldn't really want to do the work involved (now that I'm semi-retired)!

Nice looks. I have those mustard pants too. It’s funny, but they’re almost easier to combine with things than, say, plain navy.

Day 4 - KILLER. FAB striped shirt. Stunning fits, and beautiful proportions. Very polished and professional, and a little playful. SUBLIME white blazer, and the pearl ring! (I may have fainted....). Try the outfit with your new cream Madewell shorties.

Day 5 - waving at my mustard velvet pants twin! Another KILLER look. Punchy, bold and striking. You have amazing biz casual style. What a treat to see you post your looks

Sometimes limits lead to the best ideas. Both outfits and appropriate but full of personality. I especially like the flowers and mustard but the first one excellent too.
