I didn't find out about Angie's challenge in time to start dressing consciously "like me" at the beginning of the week but I do this anyway and unconsciously the most times so figured will post my real life true outfits of the week and will be as good as if would have done like especially and prepared.
These are all Early Spring outfits to a smart casual (with a creative strike) office.
1. -was a waxed dark ink denim skirt, a moody floral (notch neck) little long sleeve shirt and a turquoise jacket. Me, because has lots of structure, a tweed jacket in a flattering color, skirt
(with black sheers and cut out on sides wedge booties)
and an accents of antiqued metallic(the belt). Tucking is not my thing, but here was JFE.
2-3.and 8-9. Seeing a week of outfits together is a good lesson for me, too. Obviously, coming to pants, I am now on the bold plaid and glenncheck cigarette pant's wagon (little late to the trend I know:-)).Pardon my face in nr 2 had a real toothache:-).
2-3 is bl&w and 8-9 is the bl&green version-almost the same look. Me, because I loved showing my ankles in pants all my life and no matter the trends AND love a pattern on my bottom part rather than my top AND I rather don't tuck. I use black patent elongated almond or pointy toe chuncky block heel booties or loafers to these looks, and my current chunky statement long pendant for indoors AND a big scarf for outdoors only.
4-5. Was a dress outfit. lOVE DRESSES(AND SKIRTS).This is a sleeveless thick ponte shift with pockets and has a leather piping on hems and middle down front. Topped it with an aztec cascade cardi. Is it me because of the bl&w colorway, the shift cut to the knees worn with black sheers (and NOT nudes) and the mint chunky beads for accent of color.
6-7. Is my top hit of the season a bl&cream zebra print pleated midi. Worn with knitted half sleeve crew neck tops. Stared the day with the black but than changed to the beige one(which is a lighter weight and size uo) as the sun came out and heated my office. This week we have had a warm (and sunny) early spring and I just packed with me both of these knitted tops just in case.
10. My hair is between two lenths now, just not decided yet what I want to do with it. Long due to a color, too-but unexpectedly, the longer roots kind of don't bother me yet.
My all week topper was a coated black trench to the knee (11 yrs old!) and my doc's bag (quilted matte & some patent, black big cross bag- but am not a doc, just love the look:-)).
Have to thank Angie for lifting up our spirits with this challenge. Loved to see all of your very inspiring outfits and the challenge was an amazing tool for delurking some lurkers!:-)) Here's to some other similar challenges in the future, at least one per new season-what do you think!:-)
