I was really excited about the challenge but life had other plans. I really wanted to at least participate a little. It was fascinating and a little intimidating to see everyone's WiWs I have to say! So many artful and creative dressers out there.

A little background - I'm a writer and also involved in the creative end of digital media marketing. Currently transitioning into a freelance work from home situation. Haven't been able to post much because of the chaos, both due to home renovation work and as I get adjusted to my new work situation. Therefore, I've been defaulting to dresses which are easier for me to throw on, rather than jeans which I wore a lot of to work.

Pic 1 &2 - One of my favourite dresses worn to a friend's house. A thickish jersey, comfortable yet interesting with asymmetry and the diagonal tie. Also love how it skims the curves and of course I love black :). Pic 2 are the earrings I wore with it.

Pic 3 & 4 - A new dress that is cool, crisp and yet relaxed and has a little draping on one side at the bottom for more visual interest. Worn for errands, lunch and some work at home. Needs to be ironed better though! Pic 4 is one of my most favourite bags that I picked up as a souvenir from Spain.

Why they are 'me' -

• I'm a
  creature of comfort and these are easy to throw on and be just JFE

• I love little
  details that make basics seem a little less so (because I'm too lazy to put too much thought into different elements on a day to day basis)

• I'm equal
  parts dark and light and my chaotic wardrobe seems to reflect that
