Thank you, all! I love seeing everyone's "you" outfits this week... it's been thought-provoking to explore what everyone picks and why. Everyone looks absolutely beautiful when they feel most like themselves.
karen13, I love a partial tuck! I like the relaxed look of having the back of the shirt loose (and I like shirts that have details in the back that would be lost with full tucking), but it gives some structure and waist definition and a longer legline in the front. But it did take me some practice, and it wasn't until I saw one blogger explain how she does hers that it clicked. There are lots of ways to do it, but I shallowly tuck the middle front, then gently pull the edges straight out to the sides (so the tucked part lays flat against my stomach), and roll them under, if that makes sense. For me, that consistently gives a line and drape that I like. Once you get it down, it doesn't take more than a second or two... it's not as fussy as it sounds (takes me much less time than a full tuck).
Firecracker, I think you just put into words what I'd been failing to... I love drama in art and clothing. Not so much in life or people, but definitely in aesthetics.
Joy, oh, I'm with you... it's a turtleneck and tights today! But it was so nice to enjoy a warm day before it blew away.
