Angie and all: Anyone seen a good cropped denim jacket recently?

I know there were several in the YLF store last spring but at the time I thought my jacket was cropped enough. I was wrong...as you can see in the photo, it's not nearly cheeky enough:)

So, I'm in the market for a medium/dark wash jacket to wear with dresses and skirts. I'm short waisted so it needs to be fairly cropped. Any sightings out there in the retail universe?

Hi Beth!

The Jolt jacket that Angie recommended last spring is quite cropped and cheeky, but I see that it is no longer available from Nordstrom. It was actually a juniors item -- which might be a good place to look if you can't find enough cheek in the misses section.

I like the length of yours on you. I am shortwaisted and my denim jackets come to the same length on me as the one you're wearing. I wear them with skirts and dresses. These are the two I own and I LOVE my old navy one.

If you want something really short, the Jolt jacket that April mentioned was about as short as I've ever seen a denim jacket. I second her recommendation to seek out junior brands.

I have the AE one in two colors, but on me it is not a true cropped length. It comes to just slightly below waist length for me, so maybe slightly shorter than yours. I am extremely short waisted. I think it's around 19" long if that helps. I am at work right now so I can't measure. On others with normal to long waists (like Tanya) it is cropped. I think I would need a 16" or shorter length for a true crop, but I'm not sure I've ever seen one that length.

ETA: I am wearing it in this post, you can see it's not cropped on me. The skirt hits at my natural waist.

And if you are on the small size, don't neglect the kids' section. I got my white denim jacket in the kids' section at Gap and it's great! Has a fair amount of stretch so it works even though my shoulders are not exactly narrow. (I do have a nonexistent bust, however, which helps with the sizing.)
