I had only two phone meetings today, and am otherwise working on a grant, so decided to be more casual, and go with a long over lean silhouette. I would never have tried this, until about 5 years ago, an SA at Nordstrom’s popped me into slim fitting jeans with the ever popular Halogen long linen-blend cardigan. So, today’s winter version.
1) Dark neutrals are “me”- black corduroy jeans- have had these 5+ years, so pre-YLF for me, Kut Diana’s (I know I’ve mentioned that I don’t wear skinny jeans, but I guess these are an exception.) Gray, fine gauge merino cardigan.
2) Fun print shirt. Officially this is “not me.” It’s a print, with pink, and I rarely wear prints, and pink appears rarely in my wardrobe. But, I fell in love with it, so a rare impulse purchase.
3) Red booties- because I love red shoes, and wear them at any opportunity. (No, there’s no actual red in the print, but I was wearing the blouse when I bought my shoes, while shopping with my sis-in-law, and we both loved the two together, though not an obvious combination.)
4) Statement earrings- NAS purchase a couple years ago.
