Absolutely no time for internet this week - really looking forward to seeing all the challenge posts.
For background, I’m in tech in Silicon Valley. I work w development, but spend a sizeable chunk of my time talking to sales, or prospects. So on any given day I could be in formal office wear, or in Silicon Valley casual. My goals in the office are to appear approachable and knowledgeable. My overall style words are classic, color, simple, sparkle, and polish.
Here are my outfits for the week:
Day 1 - work at home day. Comfy sweater, jeans, tennies. This is my standard, “not leaving the house today” look. Hair up, usually some kind of earrings or necklace (earrings in the picture). My kids would tell you this is what mom looks like most weekends.
Day 2 - FBO for work. Column of black or navy, colorful sweater, heels, statement necklace, earrings. Not my favorite execution of this look, but was running late.
Day 3 - Part-day in the office, and around town. Navy sweater, white jeans, navy heels, scarf, pearl earrings. I threw on a navy blazer walking out the door just in case.
Day 4 - picture day! Presenting internally and recording video for training, a very me outfit with navy vneck top, tweed pencil skirt, pink blazer, suede boots, pendant necklace and earrings. (Bonus closeup pic after the video crew redid my makeup.). IMO, best outfit of the week, and closest to my preferred style.
Day 5 - casual in the office, navy vneck top, jeans, navy polka dot blazer, blaze orange flats. 2nd favorite outfit of the week.
The surprise of the week is no dresses appeared. They are very me, and I wear them often. Just didn’t fit for the weeks weather and activities.
I’d welcome any feedback — looking forward to catching up on the forum.
