I feel like this barely needs explanation — a simple casual outfit in denim and black with the blue leather IRO moto that became an immediate signature-for-me jacket the moment I bought it. I don’t care if it’s a little snug now, I just wear it open. Worn with DIY’d released hem Lucky Brand jeans ($20 at Marshall’s), the long-coveted Alexander Wang Kori booties, a Missoni scarf I scored for a great deal a few years ago, and knockoff Bao Bao bag that was maybe $30 at TJMaxx, a fraction of what the real thing costs. I always like the play of these bag and scarf patterns together.
That kind of detail makes an outfit very me. It’s also very me to mix high and low in an outfit —I love a good bargain but there are some signature items like the jacket and boots that I’m glad I splurged on.
I have a hair appointment tomorrow, thank goodness. I am getting really shaggy!
