Life and work have gotten in the way of fully participating in Archie's challenge.
The black and ivory shirt belonged to my husband's father and was his bowling shirt. I loved the fact that he dressed up to go bowling. The shirt is silk crepe de chine, has real pearl buttons, and is made in the USA. My husband was going to donate it, but I said I wanted to keep it. It stayed in my closet for some years before I took it to my alteration specialist. It was a major surgery alteration to take apart the shirt and fit it to my body. It was expensive but so worth it to have a vintage heirloom piece that connects me to the father in law I never got to meet.
