Almost tonal column of pale blue

I loved today's ensembles (especially the lilac) and given our still very hot weather decided to wear one of my favourite summer blouses, which is a pale blue with a white deer print and pale denim. Alas it was too warm for me to wear my boots that are a light grey and would have been more tonal with the denim, I do like these white slides.

My shirt is lovely to wear, very light and breezy and I love the colour. Blue and white are a favourite summer combination for me, so I also wear this blouse with white jeans.

First photo shows the neckline of the blouse, which is hidden by my poor selfie skills in the second one.

I did co-ordinate my ear-rings which have a blue stone in them.

Any comments or suggestions are much appreciated.

What a beautiful outfit! The blouse is gorgeous - the print reminds me of the romantic tapestries that can be found in some medieval castles. I find it very princess-y, and it's well balanced by your distressed jeans and fun shoes.

Btw, I wonder if you have more interesting shoe selection in retail in Australia, I never see such interesting fun shoes here where I live. Noticed that you Australians always have really beautiful, cool and interesting footwear. But maybe it’s just me not being able to find them...:-)

Aurore - I had not made the connection with the neckline and being princess-y, but you are right! As our retro Princess, you obviously have a good eye for these things. I really loved the fabric pattern, it is a bit whimsical with the deers on the hem.

Jussie - thank you, you have such a great eye for colour, I am not surprised to find out that you are an artist. Blue shades do work well with my colouring and I find them soothing, particularly when it is hot.

I agree- adorable pairing for the “tonal” challenge.
And Katerina- you are so right about the Australian and New Zealand YLF Friends- they are always posting pictures of great items I never see in my neck of the woods. I wish I could afford a vacation trip to shop there but not sure how much I would be in the mood to shop after 18 hours on a plane.

Katerina - so glad you like this blouse and jeans look, I really enjoy wearing jeans on the weekend. We are lucky in Australia that the conditions are good for shoes - we don't get snow ever, and not a lot of rain. I like to buy my shoes from smaller shoe boutiques and my favourite brands are XSA (Italian) and Paul Green (Austrian), so I don't know if you need to travel to Australia to buy those! We do have good local designers, the blouse is by an Australian and I like to support the local industry.

Ummlila - I find white, pale blues and lilacs are so fresh and lovely to wear in summer.

Efbgen - yes, the long travel time is the downside of living in one of the most remote locations. However, it is very worth it once you get here because we have more to offer than just great shops! You must Google "Quokka Selfie" - it is a West Australian institution. Quokkas are as cute, friendly and adorable as they look.

Tanya - so glad to hear that you are starting to get some warmer weather. I did think that the lilac ensemble Angie posted was definitely made for you!

Katarina - I hope you can find XSA online, Paul Green is much easier to source although for me the fit is a bit wide for my foot, so only some shoes work for me.

Dana I am glad you like my hair because I recently got it cut above my shoulders after about 7 years of wearing it long. I am enjoying the shorter length.

They don't time out, some people choose to hide them, say after a week.

Ah! So when you click on "hide this photo", this is what happens? It doesn't go away entirely--there's a black box that shows people that there is something they aren't seeing? Good to know.
