Ha. All of this talk about denim, and jackets in particular, finally got to me. I have what seems like a million denim jackets - because they look cute on the hanger in the store, are that "must have" piece in every list made by every editor/blogger. But do I wear them? NEVER. So today I figured I'd get to the bottom of this issue and see what it is about them that I'm not loving. It got really unexpectedly warm today , and I needed something coolish for some running around . I had this no-name brand tunic-y top in my closet unworn since I bought it at a bookstore - lol - in the winter. I pick up stuff from everyone I work with and sell to and am amassing the most bizarre collection of clothes. A recent blog post suggested leggings under a dress or tunic - so on went new no-name brand hi-waisted capri tights (from a garden centre gift shop) . It took me 3 jackets to find one that seems ok - and the determining factor was the length. Too short or hitting right at my hip and I look like the side of a barn from the back. It was quite shocking how much difference the length of the jacket made . Random no-name brand import necklace (from another shop I sell to) and some mall-brand stretch denim (which helps with ease of wearing too) jacket. New black Aldo mules, which I quite like.

So - comfort factor - 10. But......I didn't feel quite me, or quite right. It might be the jewellery which is kinda eh, or the capri tights, which makes me feel 80's , and not in a good way, or the flats, which make me feel short . Actually.....came back to edit and add: it's the denim jacket that's bugging me. It's not edgy or interesting enough and is too mainstream looking . I want one that is distressed and faded....Something is off here and I can't put my finger on it. Feedback absolutely welcome!
