The dressing for a different weather zone made me chuckle, as someone living in Scandinavia it sounds very familiar! We have a lot of (especially cruise-) tourism where I live, and non-locals will commonly be dressed in seemingly full winter gear (puffers, hats, scarves, boots) while we are basking in what we consider glorious summer weather, haha!

Copenhagen sounds wonderful, and I'm making a mental note of Aarhus (second cities often turn out to be the best!). The differences in grooming and cosmetics are so interesting. I live in an area where most still eschew cosmetic treatments and I definitely notice it when I travel to places where it's more common!

Looks like a great trip! I had a really short jet lagged business trip to Copenhagen and all I remember is almost getting run over when I tried to do my morning walk in what turned out to be a dedicated bike lane, and lots of salmon. Those sandwiches alone are enough to make me want to go back!

What a beautiful family! So glad you had a wonderful trip!

oh, i loved traveling with you! sounds, and looks like, a fab trip!
yay, for finding some time to thrift and yay that hubby and 2 kids got to see the Boss! win win

What an amazing trip! My husband is a big AFOL as well. Every nook and cranny of our house is filled with rubbermaid bins full of bricks.

Thanks again for sharing my trip fun!
quietloud - That was me! (minus the cruise)
LaPed - Interesting! I would say you have a sort of Scandi style actually. I think it is similar to a certain New England look.
cat2 - Right! But better a bike than a car!
notsaf - Thank you!
kkards - We all have our priorties !
Jenn - !! My son bought the lego version of the duck, available exclusively at Lego House I believe. He and your husband would have a ball together.

I so enjoy reading trip reports, especially if they have a nod to the local fashion scene. Thank you for taking us along.

Gorgeous pictures! Looks like you had a great time, and you all look very stylish and fabulous.

Very late to this - what wonderful happy photos! It looks like such a happy trip - and I am pleased it was relaxing as well.

It looks to be a very decent place to visit... and I bet the tourism department are glad the locals stopped scaring off potential visitors like they used to do back in ye olden times

Sounds like you had a wonderful trip. I've very much enjoyed traveling in Denmark. I can't believe hubby scored impromptu SPRINGSTEEN TICKETS! What an experience. I love your hair!

My cousin did a year study abroad there, and loved it so much she went back to visit. Isn't that where some of the greatest modern cuisine is supposed to be, or is that another country?

Carol - Yes to the New Nordic cuisine (husband is a foodie). We did not, however, eat at one of the very highly rated restaurants he told me about.
Thank you all for your lovely comments!
