Last night I gave my first in-person presentation in over 2.5 years! Zoom has been an amazing boon for opportunities to gather virtually (and an unexpected bonus is now I’m presenting to and judging groups from as far away as California), but it was awfully nice to see people face-to-face again, where you can read audience cues better. The group had about 25 attendees (pre-Covid it would have been closer to 50, but attendance is creeping back up).
It was a gorgeous day yesterday, warm but not humid. I took along a jacket in case the venue was overly air conditioned, but thankfully it was not.
Top: old! Vince Camuto, I think. Tags are gone.
Jeans: Mother
Mules: Dolce Vita
Bag: Bao Bao
I enjoy these mules, and they’re a rarity — a shoe without a back that doesn’t fall off my feet. The small back edge really helps, I think. I also have two inserts in the vamp to help fill the extra space for my slightly low-volume feet.
It got me thinking again that I wouldn’t mind partaking in the clog trend, but I’ve always found clogs super hard to fit. I like the 70s/90s-ish, slightly rock n roll vibe of them. I’m looking at a few options, mainly styles with sling back style straps for a little security on the foot. Any suggestions?
