A week of simple WIWs with a sparkly gown

This has been a fairly uninspired week for me as I was quite stressed and busy, so most of the outfits are super simple top and bottom combination. The only exceptions for the Thursday evening outfit were I was going for unexpected juxtaposition (dressy blazer and tuxedo shirt with silver wedge sneakers) which I am not certain worked well, and the Great Gatsby Ball outfit last night than YLF helped me accessorize. In the end I decided to skip both the gloves and the feather boa for the ease of dancing. As always, all the comments and suggestions are more than welcome!

#1 (Monday work): Express blush sweater, Current/Elliot light wash skinnies, Converse white Hi-Ness sneakers
#2 (Tuesday work): J Crew striped linen shirt, J Brand white straight jeans. DKNY white belt, SE white slipper flats, Rafe for Target white/tan bag
#3 (Wednesday work): Derek Lam for Kohl's long black vest, VS blask silk sleeveless blouse, Rag&Bone tuxedo skinnies, Donald J Pliner pointy mini wedges
#4: (Thursday work): Express mint sweater, H&M white sleeveless shirt, Rich&Skinny gray skinnies, Ash silver wedge sneakers
#5: (Thursday dinner with a friend): VS Charcoal pinstripe blazer, J Crew white tuxedo shirt, Hudson grey python skinnies, Ash silver wedge sneakers
#6 (Friday work and bowling with coworkers): Talbot's striped tee, TR Briana BF jeans. Fossil pewter belt, Cole Haan pewter mini wedges
#7 (Saturday errands): Kate Spade silk floral blouse, Club Monaco blue shorts, Marais silver wedge sandals
#8 ( Saturday Great Gatsby ball): French Connection sequin gown, Guess silver strappy sandals, feather-y head band and purse from Amazon
#9 (Sunday brunch): WHBM tunic, Paige denim shorts. SE cognac sandals, Also polka dot cross body bag

You had a great week even if you felt uninspired! I like the headpiece with your sparkly gown to get that 20's feel. I also really like the soft colors in outfits 1, 2 and 4. I love the silhouette of the flowy shirt and skinny jeans in #3. I'm not sure about #5 because I have a poison eye for that type of sneakers, so hopefully others with a better eye will comment on it.

Every one of your "everyday" outfits has a little modern touch in shoe, color or silhouette, to set is above the routine. You do "simple" very well. I'm particularly fond of #1 and #3.

Thank you very much ladies! I am glad it the work outfits did not look as uninspired as I originally thought. Somehow not having a third piece makes me feel unfinished.

The Ball was lots of fun! My dress got lots of compliments, and an unknown girl even asked to take a picture with me as she really liked the dress. Lot of dancing, and my legs are sore today as marble floor is not good to one's joints.

Suz, LOL! I think we could probably find more same items if we looked, which makes sense since we have similar coloring and body types. And of course a lot of these are influenced by Angie

I'm particularly fond of 1&3. You're so beautifully tall (are you? You look tall) and slim that the clothes drape marvelously on you, you lucky thing!

You wear all the looks so well Tanya. I like the gentle blush pink in 1 and the mint in 4 and I rather like the juxtaposition in 5. I'm glad you enjoyed the ball, because you looked divine in the column of silver. I agree with NZ Nicola you carry your clothes well and look a mile high

A great series of outfits here. #2 is my favorite between the colors and the tucking it's just a classic outfit that is lovely. I also really like the printed tops in 7 and 9, these are some fun prints.
