A walk in the park: activewear and dog

Here's another activewear post because I have very few of those. You get to see me without having my hair done and with the most minimal makeup!

This is another staple uniform for my "dog park capsule." Leggings, a lightweight top (when it's not hot I prefer long sleeves or adding one of my Zella jackets on top as my arms chill easily), and sneakers. This is a newer pair of trail running/walking shoes by Merrell that I scooped up at the Rack this summer. They are bright magenta and I love 'em.

No specs on this day as I was tearing out new contact lenses, and couldn't find sunglasses. I tucked my cell phone and keys into my little wristlet that I've been using as a wallet, and listened to a podcast episode of The Vinyl Cafe as we strolled around in the sun.

Yes, Nebraskim, days at the park are fun for both of us. As I've started to feel better I want to walk with her more often!

Aida, she totally is the best accessory. I've said to my fiancee that walking with Lucy out in public must be what it's like to grow up as the "pretty girl" - SO many people want to say hi and ask about her. Anything I wear or groom myself with is just background noise to the cute puppy.

Cute and flattering outfit..I don't have tiny feet like you so I never wear bright colors on my feet but the sneakers are really cute!

And what a sweet little face your dog has! I saw a clever solution to the dog who won't look at the camera..you mount a tennis ball to a clip that you clamp onto your phone. When dogs look at the ball it looks like they're looking into the camera.

I'll try to take more photos in the future of The Adventures of Kari and Lucy. The hardest part is finding/making an impromptu tripod to use for my cell phone. In this case it was rather precariously perched against my wallet on a railing.

Lol Kari! I use bait sometimes too! Xena's beloved ball in my hand to get her to look at it! It works....but the ball isn't always handy! I'll try biscuits or chewies next time. Thanks for the tip!

Lucy is so cute. I find that when I walk my dog, people will often stop and talk to me. This is probably because my dog (the real Bijou) is over friendly and wants to say hello to everyone. I love your dog walking style, your trainers are so cool, hair and makeup are perfect for the occasion.

At our dog park, everyone knows the dog names, but the humans become Raven's mom (my dog is Raven), or in your case, Lucy's mom. I kind of like that, actually. We are the dogs' accessories.

Soooo true that we are the accessories to our dogs. And pack mules. I've told Lucy I'm going to start making her haul a wagon to earn her keep.
My dog parks, and actually my apt complex, are the same way; we know all the dogs' names, but not sure what the names of their people are. I think if we were as cute as our canines our names might be more memorable.
