WIW: A trouser suit trend?

Two days ago was my 72 birthday and I went with my family to restaurant for dinner and then back home for a birthday cake that I made (bonus
picture of cake). It was a little chilly evening and I decided to wear trouser
suit, I have to admit that is not exactly a trouser suit but dark navy pants
and dark navy blazer. I wore cream lace sleeveless blouse, light suede loafers, coral necklace and coral bag (birthday gift). I don’t know whether this is trendy for Fall& Winter 2016 but I like this outfit and feel good.

Like always any comments and suggestions are very welcome.

I think the trouser suit looks elegant. I like it with the lace top. Angie listed them as one of the trends. I purchased two this year but it's been too warm to wear them yet. Your cake looks so pretty! Happy Birthday!

Thanks Sisi. Yes I made it, I got the recipe in Internet, the made for Delimano competition and called it Delimano cake but not with that decoration. Cake is really delicious.
