I managed to finish January with only two fashion-related purchases: a fedora and a scarf, and I'm hoping February will be similarly restrained. I'm concentrating on some home projects at the moment, so I'm more interested in putting the dollars into that than in my closet at the moment!

However, the other day I went into Anthro because it was right next door to where I was buying a new pillow. I'd been thinking since my closet re-organization that I would really like a cool weather knit top or sweater in a teal color, and I just happened to spot this poncho-ish sweater. I liked it when I tried it on so I decided to bring it home.

It goes with a few scarves and other items in my wardrobe, and I envisioned wearing it as a third piece in a simple outfit. I decided to wear it the very next day, so the tags were cut!

Confession: these houndstooth jeans are snug at the moment. They loosen up with wear, so a couple of hours into the day, they had loosened from what you see in the photo. If I'd looked at the photo before I left the house, I might have changed. :-/ I'm working on the weight issue.

Nonetheless, I enjoyed wearing this outfit. The scarf came off after my studio warmed up, but I didn't get a photo without the scarf. I think I actually like this better sans scarf. The pendant was a gift from hubs -- he found it in New Orleans when we were there over New Year's.

Feedback welcome.
