A Plaid Skirt I Am Still Enjoying

Ever since I saw Angie’s post on plaid skirts, I knew I wanted to share an old favorite that I have enjoyed wearing for more than five years. It’s long on me and even as a petite, it still seems to work and maybe it is because the plaid material makes it so much fun to wear. I generally add my Brooks Brothers Saxon wool crewneck sweater, which is very thin and comfortable. Or I will wear a navy blue cardigan. For shoes, I either add my camel mules or pick my comfy Naot ankle boots and will add my LilySilk camel oversized cardigan if it is a cool day. For some reason, I couldn’t find the photo with the oversized cardigan and the plaid skirt so I’ve added it with another outfit to show you the sweater. A question for you: Do you switch out your camels and brown tones when you enter the winter months and leave autumn behind?

That's a beautiful skirt!

I don't plan to switch out camels and browns for winter. I like those shades and think they can work at any time of year. What I may do though, is start pairing them with shades of ivory or white instead of shades of green as I've been doing all fall.

KILLER skirt, Vicki! No wonder you love it. It loves you right back It's elegant and petty - just like you! The length is perfect, to my eye.

To answer your question - I don't. I wear toffee and browns in the Autumn and Winter. I don't wear them from mid Spring to the end of Summer, though. Same strategy for burgundy.

I don’t have much brown and camel, more bronze and tan, which I wear in 3 out of 4 seasons, not summer.

You look fabulous! The skirt is wonderful, I like the way you style it and I like a lot your mules. To answer your question: I never wear brown, camel and such. I prefer cool colours. But never say never!

I wear browns and camels year round. I don't like it if they are different tones though, like some are more brown and some have more yellow or gray undertones. They bother me if they are too different in one outfit.

I like camel with hunter green or warm burgundy, so continue wearing the camel pieces in different outfits.

I love this skirt on you and hope you get to wear it form many years to come. I have a love of leopard print and so wear that year-round. I quite enjoy wearing leopard in summer as a bit of a break from the whites and pastels that I have in my summer wardrobe.

That skirt is perfection on you. It's great that you have so many ways to wear it, too. I would not have thought of an oversized cardigan with it, but I can see how it would be super fab.
