Thank you all so so much!!! I am blushing all day not else. "Killer" and "catwalk look" from Angie is really a great deal and I just cannot believe my outfits are that good but certainly was enjoying wearing and putting them together:-).
The pleated plaid midi and the plaid wide pants are my true wild cards this season.
I loved the new culotte looks for 2 years and have now a small collection of them but only wearable in summer. I wanted one for colder weather. This one(H&M) is a tweed which has burgundy in it (another love) and hope to work well with sweaters and boots in winter, too.
The A line midi is a look I've done a lot in my early twenties and loved it esp. with combats- later with pointy toes but hey, I was like a stick back then- not curvy (and 50!:-)). Still, I have NEVER EVER in my life done the pleats on my own will!!! I had aversion of pleated skirts as it was our uniform for dressy in low school (knee length plain black & a white button down) back then. Later I always thought they are too grown up, lady like&fussy, even a bit of matronly and not so flattering on curves.
So, I was very skeptical at the beginning but have seen some gorgeous pleated midis here on the YLF and so was encouraged to try. And yes, this one is a subtle a plaid in a very thin (no wrinkle-no fuss!) fabric and totally flat on the hips so decided it is JFE and a gorgeous combo for my fall colors, so I kept.
The puffer in nr 4 is actually DH's and a vest(!) I have often worn over my black denim jacket and my grey chuncky cardigan for driving the car on colder mornings. Other things are from last year. Aztec mustard cardi and white western boots were barely worn, I just needed pieces and colors to come together.
Oh, and just wanted to highlight the use of my flat loafers (black and burgundy patent) which are my new love and replacing my previous go to block heeled or low wedged balerina/pumps.
Thank you again for looking and complimenting my outfits and my DD:-) it was a blast to read and learn.
