A few WIWs and does tucking into Classiques Entier trousers work?

#1 - last time I wore cobalt jeans to work I had concern that they were too casual. I realized that pairing them with a denim jacket was partly the reason for this so this time I paired them with slightly more "polished" items (Alexander Wang jacket and a cowl neck shell from Target).

#2 - love this red trench from NAS! Now that it is getting cold here, the warm lining is much appreciated.

#3 - never would have thought of pairing skinnies with booties before YLF but I think it works.

#4-5 - need to figure out whether I am keeping these trousers. Angie suggested tucking into these. Since I have no trousers suitable for tucking and usually war tops untucked, if these look OK, they would be a nice change.

#6-9. K/R "Parisian" navy leather jacket from Piperlime. What do you think?

I think tucking into those pants looks great! I would add a belt though.
I can't tell if I like the jacket. I think I do, just not with that blouse. The collar competes with the jacket, imo.
Outfits 1-4 are my faves!

A belt would be great but there are no belt loops! Not sure if it makes sense to add a belt without them.

I like the jacket but I find that collar very challenging.

I think the pants are nice, they look a bit out of PPL with the shoes, but it could be that it looks that way, because you have a lower heel. I don't like to tuck in my blouse with trousers, unless the pants have belt loops so I can wear a belt, but it looks OK with blouse tucked in.

the WIWs are fantastic. I think you nailed the cobalt blue jeans!

Tucking looks great...love the blue jacket! I think you need a pointy toe with trousers, though. I have a big poison eye for round toe shoes with wide hem trousers...

Interesting idea, Jenava! I don't think I own any pointy-toe footwear.

I like the idea of a pointy toed shoe too, peeking out from the wide hems. Let me know if you find some comfy ones!

I had never thought about what shaped toe to wear with wide-leg trousers, but when I think about it, a pointy toe would look nice. I don't think you need to rule out your rounder toed shoes with them, though.

And I just love outfit #3! That jacket looks great and the booties with skinnies really work.

I like the new navy jacket a lot, but I would like the top turned back more like lapels as it is in this picture. Is this the same jacket?

I can't get past #3 - it's perfect!

It's true, your WIWs look great! I really like the navy jacket on you, myself. I don't think the collar is fighting with it at all, it's just riding on top very nicely.

As for pointy shoes, they hate my feet, so I refuse to wear them.

Thanks, Marcy! I completely forgot how the jacket was shown in the stock photo. Indeed, the collar can be folded and there are snaps to hold the lapels in place (I did not even notice!).

Yes, I like it like that. That's another cool outfit, too- that scarf looks great with the striped top; the colors are perfect together. Nice pattern mixing.

It's good that you can wear the jacket either way. Even though I prefer it with the lapels snapped back, with some necklines, or if it's cold out, you might want to wear it the other way.

Jacket first: I really like it. I agree the neckline can be tricky, but with a scarf I think it works well, and the fact that you can wear it two ways is a bonus. How does it look done up? Do you like the overall fit? Was the price point good? Is this THE leather jacket? The elusive one? I like the simplicity with the nod to moto styling.

I love your WIW. The cobalt skinnies look super paired with the dressier jacket. Definitely work-worthy! I also think you look amazing in your red trench. You've made some great purchases this fall.

I honestly don't know if this is "the" jacket. I don't like it zipped up, but with this style, I think I would mostly be wearing it open. I keep going back and forth on whether to keep it. It's just one of those things where I start putting it in the box to return but then put it back in the closet. I do like the understated style - not too tough, not too flashy, fairly simple.

The price is reasonable but not super-low.
