A few random, but important thoughts

I wanted to share a few things. Some of it will be old news if you follow my tweets:

o H&M has GREAT tomato red jackets at the moment. Fashion forward and fun.

o Banana Republic looks very boring. I hope that their colours brighten up soon. A store full of olive and taupe is not the way to go after a Winter of grey and black. But they do have sweet pintucked button downs with tab sleeves on special for $49.

o The Loft has a good assortment of patterned sleeveless blouses. I was surprised to see that they are 100% polyester. They feel silk based.

o The Gap has a few winners too. Will post about that soon.

o My right arm and wrist are very sore from doing too much. I need to take a break and prioritize getting 9 blog posts out in a week and dressing my clients – which also puts pressure on my arms. Thanks for holding fort on the forum while I recoup.

I just bought a tomato red jacket from H&M! AND IT'S COTTON! I will be posting it soon, with a few frocks.

Banana Republic has bored me for several seasons now. I used to shop there all the time, but the only thing I have bought in over a year are the Martin skinnies (that I lost, of course). I just bought a BR dress on consignment and it is so vibrant and detailed. It would look completely out of place there now. Sad.

I check ATL and Gap but rarely find anything that I love. Still keep looking though.

Hope your wrists recover quickly. We will miss you

Thanks for the updates Angie! Take it easy, I hope you don't develop carpal tunnel like I did. I had to stop using a mouse, that made a big difference.

My niece is a stylist for TV commercials and she gets a sore arm and wrist from going through clothing racks!

Angie, I would just like to say that I think you have commented on every post I have ever made. I don't know how you possibly have the time to do everything you do. Please take care of yourself.
I walk by the Loft on my way home from the grocery store and have seen those sleeveless shirts in the window. GORGEOUS!!

Do hope you take plenty of time for your arm and hand to recover. As a pianist I am always concerned about tensions and pains about there so really glad you're taking it seriously and sending healing thoughts your way.

I saw the red jacket that amyreh posted and was excited enough to check H&M and saw the cotton one too. I sense a little trip there on Monday morning coming on now that I know that not only does she look great in hers but that Maya and you are recommending them too! Can't wait for the gap recommendations. I always jump on things you recommend that I can get in the UK.

Oh, how I wish H & M had online sales! I am dying for a red jacket.
I know that sore wrist sign, well, Angie so please take the rest you need before you really hurt it. I agree it's amazing how hands on you are here. We are very lucky to have your personal attention and opinions on our posts!!

Like Maya, I haven't bought anything at BR for a very long time. One exception is Martin pants. I think the salespeople forgot what I look like

Angie, please take care and give your wrist and arm a break. We will be fine here and will hold down the fort. If it doesn't resolve on its own, be sure to get medical advice. I had bothersome wrist pain all last spring and finally went to see an orthopedic doc who specialized in wrists. He ended up giving me a steroid injection, and fortunately that took care of my problem. I've been fine since. Hugs and hoping for the best!

Hope you are feeling better soon! I haven't purchased much in BR the past few years, they used to be a go to store where I knew I could get items but not in recent years. And the past few pieces of knitwear I did purchase from them, pilled badly and quickly.

I just wanted to add that on several occasions I have stated that I am a very boring dresser. And Angie just proved it !!! I am loving Banana Republic and Gap more than I have in years...I just bought some things from both.

Can't wait for your Gap picks. The Banana pintuck blouse sounds interesting, I'll check it out.
Hope your wrists feel better soon! I'm not sure if your problems are keyboard-caused but I thought I'd share a tip: my husband was starting to get typing-related pain and switched to a split keyboard where each half is bowl-shaped, so some keys are farther away. That stopped his problems in their tracks.
