Hi all

Here are some of the oldies from my closet that I still wear and like. All outfits were worn this week except for no 4.

Outfit 1:

The oldie here is the turtleneck top. I got it from Zara on a trip to NYC in 2009. It’s a cotton mix. I wear it a lot every Autumn and Winter and wash it after each wear. It has lasted and lasted. Who says Zara only makes disposable fashion I think it’s a classic style and I would get more in other colours if I could. The current versions are usually viscose, which I do wear but don’t like as much as cotton.

Outfit 2:

My big boho bag. I bought this on the same trip to NYC in 2009. It’s by Lucky Brand. I like the colours, texture and 70s aesthetic. It’s kind of quirky and original. I have had trouble in the past keeping suede bags clean but miraculously this one is still in good shape. I do store it in a dust bag over summer.

Outfit 3 (posted earlier in the week):

The bag is by Isabella Fiore and about 6 or 7 (?) years old. I like the plum colour and the boho-ish pattern but lately I have tired of it. So I bought a guitar strap from Etsy to give it a refresh (the strap also goes with some of my other bags). Consequently I am enjoying using it again.

Outfit 4 (from last year):

The top was bought on the trip to NYC in 2009. (Good shopping!) I love the abstract pattern sooo much. (I am hoping that, when we are all done with the floral trend, abstract patterns will come back.) The hem of the top has stretched out due to being pulled over my hips. Last year I tried, unsuccessfully, to have it repaired. This year I will have to hide the sins by wearing the top fully tucked. I am determined to keep it until the moths take it from me.

The ombré jacket is about 5 years old. It is from ASOS and was, from memory, about 70% off. Beats me why no one wanted it. It is my favourite wardrobe item by a long margin. In the beginning I wore it as much as possible but now I save it a bit because the colour is fading at the back (sun exposure). My husband is under strict instructions that if ever the house catches fire he must SAVE MY OMBRÉ JACKET! (The puppy dog first of course.)

What do you think of my oldies? And hands up if you’d like to see more ombré at retail
