I'll admit it, I am shamelessly looking for a bit of help defining my style. Perhaps if I had a idea, it might help me when shopping to fill missing holes. So often I wind up picking up an "essential" like a plain cardigan, and then I kind of hate wearing it because it doesn't feel like me. At the same time, my job is heading in a direction where on office days I really need to toe the classic line as it were.
So, here are my three all time favorite outfits as of this very moment. Please enjoy, and help me find the common thread.
1. Except for not liking these flats, I love this outfit. I like how them hem hangs out, which feels sort of naughty with a pencil skit. I like menswear with skirts. I love black and white.
2. This is my "throw on because I need to feel good today" outfit. It doesn't really fit as well as it did 20 pounds ago, but it still gets the job done. I like the slim trouser, and the blazer. The shoes make me feel sexy and businesslike at the same time.
3. This is the necklace I wear with #2. My boyfriend gave me his heart. How can I not adore this more than any other piece of jewelry in the world?
4. Graphic tshirts! Juvenile, yes, but I love them. This one says "Keep Out of Direct Sunlight" which is even more funny because I have vitiligo and really can't be outside. Its like they created it just for me.
5. This jacket makes me feel kind of awesome, like I'm wearing armor. Same with the boots. And the scarf is from my London trip. If only the jeans fit better....
So that's it. My favorite things. Thank you in for looking, and I hope we can get some answers as to what makes me tick.
