A few copies & a few stand-bys

It's so easy to want to copy many of you here as I draw inspiration in endless ways. Naturally, #3-4 is a copycat version of Angie's outfit from a few months ago.

I've been doing some road tests for my upcoming trip to London and a short seven-day cruise to Spain and Northern France. While I've been drawn to cream and white, lately, it's probably not the most practical color choice for a trip. Shortly, I'll post my intended travel wear for your help and input, which I will gratefully accept.

In the meantime, here are a few WIWs from April. Happy May!

1 Maggy London dress you've seen before and one I may take on my trip to be worn with a new jacket I'll show tomorrow.
2 Family photo with my parents on the left and my twin sister and brother on the right.
3-4 I copied Angie on a cooler day this week from one of her outfits earlier in the year. Black INC turtleneck, Ann Taylor pants, MK reversible belt and Sam Edelman booties.
5 I've been wearing the Suz-inspired GAP mesh top as it has a nice weight and is easy to wash. It does tend to stretch out a little bit, so I have to be careful.
6-9 These navy and white striped slouchy, baggy pants have been with me for years, so the tailor took out the lining and sealed up the side pockets. There's a little herringbone finish to the fabric.
10 Another copy inspired by Suz. Now, I just need to update my denim capsule.
11 Out with the Hurley-made-to-look-like-you-know-what.
12-13 I took a couple of photos to sell this on eBay and then had second thoughts. I'm not sure why I'm still hanging on to this long mocha number, but maybe it will work in summer. I don't know what to do with this orphan.
14 A pretty photo from Rancho Mirage, CA a couple of weeks ago as I was about to walk the labyrinth.
15 I noticed this cute sign at the library today.

Great outfits - you look lovely in the ML dress. I'm not loving the mocha dress - it doesn't seem like it fits your style.

I love your outfits, Vicki! Wow, that Pucci- inspired Maggy London dress is so fresh looking. You really rock all the looks featuring cream.
Now, looking at photos 1 through 13, I feel like this is one of those tests: which of these pictures doesn't belong? Yup, 12 and 13 looks like a style out-lyer here! Even on a beach vacation, I envision you in something more modern and streamlined perhaps a crisp white voile v-neck tunic-y dress. Just saying--I agree with Caro.

I am absolutely stunned by your style. I was particularly blown away by the black and white outfits - the white jeans and the baggy black trousers are fab! Agree the dress in #12/13 does not belong in this picture. And may I say, as mother of twin girls and a boy, I will be quite thrilled to look as good as your mother when I am her age - whatever that is!

Oh Vicki, you just pop in and blow us all away! I love these, the dress, the Angie copycat, the slouchy trousers. Just not the mocha dress--better go with your gut on that, though I'm sure the fabric is lovely. You have plenty of other fabulous things to wear. Have a wonderful time on your trip!

It's all pure perfection, Vicki, I fully and completely agree with Angie's assessment: your style keeps on getting better and better, and it was already through the roof to begin with!!

The mod-esque dress is absolutely fantastic, and those colours are gorgeous on you, wow, wow, wow!
The cream trousers outfit is timeless elegance personified.
Love the rocker vibe of the white skinnies with animal print accessories, the cobalt jumper is so fresh with the white.
The relaxed fit silhouette with the striped trousers, white studded booties and beautiful sweater (is that a Tippi jumper, Vicki?) has a cheeky gangster feel to it. LOVE it!!
And the two scarf outfits are so sassy Vicki:-)

I'm not feeling the last dress either, but love the book sign (how could I not).

Everything is fantastic - with only that dress in 12 as the non-starter I think. I'd go ahead and get rid of that and move on to something else in mocha if you love the color. The first dress is stunning on you as is the cobalt top.

I can't get over how gorgeous you are in the turquoise dress! And look at your beautiful family. Not to mention the scenery. But nothing is more splendid than you.

I am beside myself tickled to have inspired TWO outfits!! You look wonderful, oh twin for a day! You are right about the Gap sweater -- it does stretch, but I find it snaps back okay after laundering. Just a hazard of cotton, I suppose.

LOVE your other outfits, too (look at those booties with the pinstripes!!) and I even love the mocha (taupe??) apron dress...it is fun!

You're an inspiration.

And I do think any of these could work for travel. Why not? Yes, white's a risk...but so gorgeous on you.

These are all just outstanding outfits Vicki. Love the first frock on you - those colours are just delicious against your beautiful complexion. The second and third outfits (white trousers and pinstripe trousers) really intrigue me. You have the ability to wear a more menswear inspired look and still look positively feminine and gorgeous - it's brilliant!

I'm not really feeling the mocha dress for you though - it's not fab enough for your killer style.

That picture at Rancho Mirage is making me soooo jealous - we were still below freezing today and it will be a month before we see any little sprout or leaf.

As for 12/13 --- It's arty, but overwhelming you, I think.

The long mocha dress is out of the closet and in the donate pile. Thanks for helping to push me to let go of some of these things that haven't been worn in years. I have a few more that need your attention.
