I went out to dinner tonight with my lovely husband and son, and by chance wore an all black ensemble. As it was my birthday, my husband took some photos of me and Miss Bijou (my West Highland White Terrier). Bijou looks lovely and white against my black, but the fur factor means I have to use lint rollers when wearing black (cuddles with Bijou definitely make that well worth it).
I love black although it is not my best colour, but hopefully it is just flattering enough. I love its slimming properties and I feel sophisticated in the right little black dress. This dress is like a strapless dress, but it is not, because the shoulder strap keeps it in place.
It is unseasonably rainy today (it is high summer in Australia), but we are experiencing a storm. I wore a cape jacket over my dress for a bit of coverage. I am enjoying my rainy birthday, not something that I can ever recall experiencing (like ever), Perth is usually that sunny at this time of year.
