We celebrated my father's 80th birthday and were very lucky to have a wonderful celebration with family and friends. My parents had 4 children, so we all took turns to be part of the speech - and I was very lucky to be able to talk about the fun that we had growing up as children.

The first photo is of me, with my Dad and son, me and Bijou (my West Highland White Terrier) and finally me giving a speech at the party.

I always enjoy seeing your photos (particularly of celebrations), and so I thought I would share a photo of a very special occasion for my family.

My Dad loved his party and when he said a few words, one of his key messages was
"it is the love and friendships that you make in life that truly matter" - very wise words from someone who has made a great milestone birthday.

What I Wore:
Blue taffeta dress by Cue
Pink mini handbag by Samantha Thavasa petite design (received as a gift with purchase of a bigger bag and used constantly since getting it - I am now a convert to mini bags)
Peter Lang choker

Bijou is wearing a hand beaded collar from Africa - her one and only accessory!
