Wow, you look great! I especially love outfit #1. The combo of that burgundy-brown long cardi and those fabulous boots is one to be repeated for sure! The crops showcase the boots beautifully and I think you nailed the proportions here. Brava!

I love those outfits and especially your attention to details that makes all the difference. That is what I have been missing in mine. I am not into cardigans but now I am thinking maybe I need one after all

Great outfits, LOVE the nails!

They are fab! The little details absolutely elevate style! I can barely sit still to get my hair cut but if I had more patience, I would invest in my nails for sure.

I like these outfits, Lisa! I especially love the rich colors on you in #1, plus I'm a sucker for a fierce pointy-toe boot look, which you wear to perfection. You also look great in the Nickel and Suede earrings. I have a silver-toned pair, and every time I put them on, I take them right back off. Somehow I just don't like them on me as well as I like them on others. I thought it was my longer hair for a while, but even now with short hair. . . [sigh].
Back to you! The second outfit is also a knock-out; the softer palette and the softness of the pants creates an overall super comfy yet chic look.

Great outfits, very smart!

Love Puffi, beautiful cat!

Thank you all ! Puffi is back out on the balcony in the same spot right now. It is truly a GLORIOUS prairie fall day. Leaves in a million colours, 25C (which is crazy for this time of year but we'll take it) and a brilliant blue sky with that softer light. I'm in heaven.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who doesn't get the appeal of the high waisted look. I could understand it if I had a different shape and body type, but mine is not uncommon.....anyways, cheers to all of you with longer torsos, smaller chests and concave abs

I'm wearing olive/black camo joggers today with an olive green padded shoulder t, and white canvas Chucks. Really enjoying the opporunity to wear my earth tones while I can !

Awww Puffi
Fun manicure and love the boots especially! That burgundy is so good on you!

Puffi is a true royalty I see, such a cutie! Love both outfits, why not enjoying the leisure of a great cardi esp if you can put together the ones you did? Love matching boots to cardi.but matching earings to bag is the best!:-)

Hey Lisa!!!

You look wonderful in these outfits! It's quite a wake-up call. I have been feeling like I am doing better at getting dressed every day and then I see this! So much more stylish (or "swish," as my dear mother would say). I need to work harder.

I especially love outfit 1. It is absolutely divine, head to toe.

I've been wearing some high waisted narrow straight jeans lately from a brand called CQY and I love them. I think the straight leg really helps make them somewhat more flattering, and the ankle length speaks to my love for cropped. But I totally understand not liking high-waisted styles. I am short waisted and also somewhat thick waisted so it's hard for me to find the right fit.

I'll be looking for more inspiration from you, my friend.

Lisa - you really know how to put together interesting and stylish casual looks and these earth tones are beautiful on you.

I can sympathise about the ongoing cost of your manicure. Sometimes I feel like that about my 8 weekly hair cut and colour appointments. I like having my hair done and supporting my hairdresser, so there are things that I would cut back on before my hair. Your hands always look immaculate with your interesting manicures.

Puffi is beyond cute!

Vivian! Interesting jeans. Not familiar with this brand at all - thanks for the recommendation. This kind of cut I love - because I'm all about a cropped length too. There are now so many tricky components to jeans : stretch or none, width , height of rise, length , wash, etc that getting the right look isn't so simple.

Bijou - thank you for such nice words here - and Puffi appreciates it too

FYI....

CQY is an LA-based company started by the creative director of AG Adriano Goldschmied. If you go in search of CQY, try to buy direct from them. Anthropologie sells at least one of their jeans, but it is much cheaper to buy direct. CQY sells directly to consumers at below retail price and also sometimes has really good sales. I have to size up one size in their jeans because of my waist.
